This Privacy Policy describes how Owens Enterprises LLC ("Giin", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Giin platform at giin.ai and app.giin.ai (the "Service").
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Phone number — for SMS-based authentication.
- Email address — for email-based authentication or venue account creation.
- Display name — optional, for venue staff and admin accounts.
Information we collect automatically
- QR code scan events linking you to a venue.
- Task completion events.
- Coupon redemption events.
- General device and browser information for security and service quality.
3. How We Use Information
- To authenticate users via SMS or email one-time codes.
- To track patron engagement at participating venues.
- To deliver rewards earned through tasks and predictions.
- To maintain service security and prevent fraud.
4. SMS Communications
Giin uses one-time SMS codes (OTP) to verify patron phone numbers at participating venues. Patrons explicitly request these codes by entering their phone number on the Giin app. We do not send marketing SMS messages.

5. How We Share Information
- With participating venues — your engagement data and anonymized phone identifier are shared with the venue where activity occurred.
- With service providers — Supabase for hosting, Resend for email, and our SMS provider for message delivery, each under data processing agreements.
- As required by law — when we believe disclosure is required to comply with a legal obligation or protect the rights of Giin or others.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Retention
- Authentication credentials — until account deletion.
- Engagement data — 24 months.
- Audit logs — 12 months.
7. Your Rights
You may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.

8. International Data Transfers
Giin is operated by Owens Enterprises LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions where our service providers operate, including the United States. We take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age (or the local age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@giin.ai.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Check this page for the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
